Why don’t you see old Chevrolet or GMC suburbans on car auctions like Clayton Jackson’s. I have a 1991 chev last of the old style suburbans. It’s one of the best vehicles I ever owned. The 454 runs like a clock and it is all original.
I have a feeling that most of those other 1991 Chevy Suburbans are not as well maintained as yours. Maintenance can make a huge difference in the life of a vehicle and in the early ’90s maybe most Suburban them were purchased as ‘work horse’ type vehicles?
Also, they may not have been driven regularly-they were rode hard and put away wet and mostly neglected except when needed.
