When you go to the grocery store do you ever compare the price of two small cans to one large can? I find one large can can cost up to 40 cents more than two small ones and the large can will be one or two ounces less than two small cans. Is this true of boxed items like cereal, pasta, soap, rice or what ever? All I can say is shopper beware check and compare. Why are the large size cans of tomato sauce, tuna and many others more money than the smaller size. (the next time you go to the super market compare the cost of two small cans to a large can. Tuna and tomato sauce are the ones that I found the other day.)
We the general public are paying 360 to over 1200 dollars a year to watch TV advertisements. In a 1/2 hour program, we get to watch about five three minute advertisements, or about fifteen minutes of a 1/2 hour program. We pay, the advertisers pay and we get bored to death. Many of these ads are run twice each time, what a boring of TV viewing. On top of all this, the programs are re-re-re runs from the beginning of TV. I have to say some of the old programs are better than whats offered today. Whats your opinion of todays programming and the cost of cable or satellite?
Why are we seeing 15 to 25 cents above reg. gas for mid grade and 35 to 40 cents for premium gas. There used to be just 10 cents jump for mid grade and 20 cents jump for premium. Are these stations gouging, if so why isn’t the state? or federal consumer affairs doing something about? it? Why does Mobile Exon refuse to build new refineries to replace the old run down ones? With over 40 bln. in profits why not ? I understand there? is a real need for new ones.
